C.L.R. James Legacy Project-Annual Memorial Lecture with Tariq Ali

Running time: 1:22:08

In this fascinating memorial lecture presented by political commentator and writer Tariq Ali we learn of Ali first meeting C.L.R James at a conference in 1967 and fresh insights on James’ interventions. Ali tells us of C.L.R. James’ honesty about his education, his disinterest in being fashionable and more besides. The discussion is chaired by Andrea Enisuoh. The lecture was arranged by Hackney Legacy project and was held in the C.L.R James Library, Dalston, East London in 2014.
